Light a Candle
LaRue was born in 1945 as Larue Laura Miller to David Miller and Laura (Behm) Miller in Topton, PA near Allentown. She was the youngest of five. She had three older sisters, Shirley, Mary, and Jane, and one older brother Harold. In 1969? she married James Gilbert Dry who was known as "Gilbert." They had two daughters, Desiree Pearl, and Valerie Joy. She graduated from Kutztown High School and worked at Blandon Medical Center as a medical secretary for Dr. Donovan and Dr. Longenecker. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 1975. She passed away a year and a half later in Reading Hospital. She is buried in Monterrey at the Lutheran Church she grew up in. She was an active member of Zion's (Spies) Lutheran Church in Oley, PA and well known for her caring nature towards others. Her life was cut short but she lives on in the hearts of her daughters and family who know they will see her again in Heaven with our Precious Savior and Lord Jesus Christ!
